Clearly what we did was a mistake. I saw things in a vastly different light than you, obviously. I reckon we take this meeting as a sign to keep our distance. Being together never seems to lead anywhere good. We gave it our best to remain friends, but it appears as that is just not an option anymore. I'll do what I can to stay out of your business, and I'd appreciate if you did the same.

Ravenclaw, we have just under two full months until our next game. That being said, I do not expect any less from you. Luckily for you lot, I suppose we can post-pone Saturday practices for now. Since when do I only go to school with cheaters and liars and whores and gossips? When did school stop being about the material and start being about all the social and sex scandals? When did teachers stop teaching material and start teaching on the side?

I cannot believe her. She just makes me so... so... ugh! Where does she get off thinking that she is Miss Almighty who can do whatever and whomever she wants? How can she not see the wrong in her foolish actions? How the fuck am I the Big Bad Wolf in this situation? I tried to help her, and she... forget it. Forget her.

Eli - good luck with Bones. He's an annoying kettle, but all he does is blow steam. I know you're best mates and all, but I've dealt with his obnoxious obsessiveness over Amelia too many times.

I had forgotten how wild quidditch parties can get. In the excitement, I managed to lose my journal. It travelled from my dormitory, and ended up wedged between a couch cushion. Yes, strange. Thank yous to everyone who congratulated Ravenclaw on our fantastic win. A big congrats goes out to Ravenclaw quidditch players, you all were fantastic. My condolences Gryffindor, I know how tough a loss is. You all played excellently.

Well, looks like I'll be making a full recovery. Pomfrey says I'll be ready to go on Saturday, but I'm fortunate I'm a beater. I'm pretty sure she's telling me that if I get hit with a bludger I'll be down for the count. Therefore, I'll have to be extra careful at aiming those buggers!

Hm, back at the castle. I must admit, while my time away was marvellous and colourful, I will enjoy returning to classes. There is only so much I can learn without the guidance of our professors. I do believe this will be an excellent year, provided I can get enough sleep in. Before I left for home I seemed to be having trouble sleeping, though I can only assume it was anxiousness for the Christmas season. Now that the 'busy' season is over, I do hope I can get a full night's sleep. Sleep is essential to learning, after all.

I have not yet spoken to Professor Flitwick, though I do believe quidditch will be resuming shortly. With that, many of our games will be cramped together, and we will have less time to practice between them. Starting immediately, practices will commence every Tuesday and Thursday, and the occasional Saturday afternoon. I will announce at Thursday practices whether we will be having a Saturday practice. I expect each and every one of you to attend. If you have a serious medical issue, you will be forgiven. However, you will be given three freebies for things such as homework, tiredness, everyday colds (go to Madame Pomfrey), etc. If you use up these three freebies, I may be forced to recruit another player. We cannot properly practice plays and strategies without the entire team present, and I cannot stress this enough. Please do whatever you can to attend practice.

I think I've packed everything. I successfully checked everything off my checklist, at least. I do believe that going home will be a refreshing change. Not that I don't enjoy school and learning, but everyone deserves a holiday now and then. Besides, it will be nice to see the family. I have always enjoyed Christmas, even if I don't particularly agree with the reason it all began, or the reason it has turned into.

All of you that are staying here, I do hope you have a lovely time. I must admit, I've never considered staying at the castle over the holidays. I reckon my parents would have a right fit if I even suggested it.

Ravenclaw quidditch team, do try and practice on your own? We won't win any matches if we're out of shape. Yes, that's right - I have heard rumours from our Headmaster that quidditch matches will be resuming after Winter Break. Rumours are just rumours, however. Please do not get overly excited. Worst comes to worst, we can schedule friendly matches with the other houses, if they should agree.
